This ended up being a fantastic recipe - once I gave up on the idea of trying to make it on a pizza pan! I laid out the crescent roll pieces on a pizza pan and could tell pretty quickly it wasn't going to be easy to make a circle that covered the pan. So I took the suggestion of using a 9x13 and coaxed the pieces into fitting with a little help from my rolling pin. I also took the suggestion of baking the crescent roll crust for a few minutes (6min?) before adding the toppings - VERY helpful! Other changes I made included using Morningstar Griller crumbles instead of sausage to make it vegetarian and using a Mexican 3 cheese blend to add a little kick. I didn't brown the crumbles because they seem to cook just fine even when added frozen, but I did the brown the hash browns, just for good measure. I still baked it for 25 min even though I had pre-baked the crust a little, and let it sit for a few minutes before serving. It was EXCELLENT!!

My son and I just threw one of these yummy pizzas together. We used a 16 inch pizza pan and two packages of Crescent rolls for the crust. I added 2 oz. of canned diced Jalapenos, a four ounce can of diced green chilies, (Ortega is good.) Eight ounces of sliced fresh mushrooms, 1/2 tsp. garlic powder and two cups of shredded pepper-jack cheese, all added to an increased 7 egg and milk mixture. Also added an extra 1/2 lb. of ground pork sausage. This was beyond excellant. This one's a keeper, for sure. Thanks Tammy.

Tasted good, but I used a pizza stone from Pampered Chef, and the egg ran everywhere and dried up at the bottom of my oven. I recommend a pizza pan with sides for this.

This was SO GOOD! Out of 5 stars, I'd say it's about a 10! I used a quiche pan to avoid spills. One can of (reduced fat) crescent rolls completely covered the bottom and up the sides. (Don't forget to grease the pan first!) I pre-cooked the crust for 5 minutes, but won't next time - it was a bit over cooked in the end. To lighten it up a little, I used low fat sausage and egg substitute, and no one knew the difference. I also lightly pre-cooked the hash browns and added some roasted red peppers -they were the perfect compliment! I will definitely be making this again, and again, and again! (My picky eater teenage son even went back for thirds! -but he did pick out the roasted peppers :) Thanks for a Terriffic recipe!!! mmmmmmmmm

My son likes breakfast after his Wednesday night riding lessons, but I was tired of the same ole thing. This was a big hit, everyone liked it. I did make some changes. Used pizza dough a slightly precooked it in a 9x13. Used cubed hash browns and cooked half way adding garlic powder salt and pepper. Added minced onion to the sausage, added two more eggs a little milk. Finally, used 1/2 cheddar and 1/2 mozzarella. Served with hot sauce. Easily served my family of 6.

This is a great recipe! Everyone loved it. I cooked the sausage the night before so I the morning I just toss it together in a matter of minutes. Just make sure your pan has an edge. Mine did not and I had a mess.

The crescent roll crust makes this pizza. I have made this pizza several times, including entertaining for a brunch. What a hit! I always omit the hash browns and parmesan and add some crumbled cooked bacon and it is wonderful. I make homemade sausage gravy for the "pizza sauce" as another review suggested. Also, pre-baking the crust for 5-7 minutes helps the crust to get done and not be gooey once the toppings have been added. For some cooks who commented the eggs ran everywhere: Scramble the eggs first in a skillet and then add them to the pizza. You'll be a lot more pleased with this!

Awesome, not to mention absolutely adorable! The kids really got a kick out of this. My daughter pretty much made this on her own. I don't have a pizza pan (just a stone), so I used my corningware quiche pan & it worked out great! We also subbed bacon for the sausage, because that's what the kids prefer. this was a disaster. Egg oozed all over my oven. The potatoes were soggy. The cheese ended up greasy. DON'T make this as directed!

I fixed this for my crew at the fire department. It was a huge hit. Of course I adjusted to taste by cooking diced onions and mushrooms with the sausage. I also doubled the ingredients and cooked on a cookie sheet. When the firefighters want the recipe you have a keeper.

This was overall a very kid friendly recipe. I did change a few things, since the recipe seem a bit bland. I made a white flour gravy with garlic. I then chopped up half of a green bell pepper, half a red bell pepper, and a few mushrooms. And add a cup more of cheese (we used sharp cheddar to add a bit of tangy). Overall everybody loved it, (potato with crescent, but nobody seem to have issues). I layered the pizza first with the white gravy, then the sausage, a little cheese, the potatos, and then the egg mixure (I only used three eggs and about 1/8 of a cup of milk), then the peppers and mushrooms, then more cheese.... We ate the leftovers the next day it seem to be even better

I made this for a get together with some friends. Everyone thought it was fantastic! I made a few modifications. I used 2 cans of crescent rolls to cover a 15 inch pizza pan using the same method of separating the triangles. I did overlap the points in the center, 1/2 inch approximate. I placed a piece of parchment paper to make the pizza slide right off the pan. I had enough dough to roll the edges slightly to make a pretty crust. I also microwaved a 3 medium potatoes till tender and ran them under cold water just to cool them. I peeled and roughly chopped them placed them

Always Awesome! This recipe appeared in the 70s (?) in Better Homes & Gardens in 'things men like to cook.' Been making this for YEARS; have served it to literally dozens of breakfast guests, and they have always been oh-d and ah-d! Like most recipes, you may want to tweak according to your tastes (and oven). Over yrs, I changed hash brown(to 3 c,thawed) & cheddar (2.5 c). I also add bacon (6 thick-cut cooked & finely chopped) and omit salt & milk. I've also found that first baking crust for 7 mins @ 375 is good idea. Then another 25 @ 375 w/all toppings except cheeses and then another 10 @350 w/ cheeses. You definitely want to use a pizza pan with slight lip.

This would be 5 stars if it wasn't for the baking pan. I wish I would have read other reviews first...I tried pouring my eggs and it ran all over the pan. It made a huge mess, I wish I would have put this in a 9x13 dish. Realize this is a rectangle pizza and don't try making the crescents into a circle like I did. This baked for 28 mins. I will try prebaking the dough next time, though it baked up perfectly. I'm not quite sure this would feed 8 hungry people. I'd say this is for 4-6 people. This is a keeper!!!

Wonderful Recipe! I usually recreate recipes to suit our tastes and preferences but this was wonderful just how it was written. The only suggestion that I have is to add some crumbled bacon on top or in the mixture and make sure that you are using a pizza pan with a lip...Pizza Stones will not work (to my disappointment) or you can use a 9x13 casserole dish...both work well but we like the look on a round pizza dish better!

I made this breakfast pizza for Christmas day breakfast and what a hit it was--so easy and so delicous. I browned the sausage the day before and all I had to do was put it together Christmas morning. It is a great alternative to breakfast casseroles and the toppings really could be endless!!!

i made a mess of the dish because i didn't have a pizza pan, just a cookie sheet (with a lip), so when i poured the eggs on, a lot of them just spilled out -- what i couldn't get back onto the "pizza" just cooked or burned around the sides. despite that, this tasted just like a quiche, but with a softer crust.

I've made this for years - always in a 9 x 13 pan. It is a must for our 6 am Indy 500 party. We serve some fruit, coffee and juice and it keeps us full while we drive to the race track and wait for the start of the biggest spectacle in racing!

This was awesome! I used Pillusbury pizza crust, used 7 eggs, 6 chopped sausage patties, 2 cups colby-jack cheese, and 1 and a half cups shredded hash browns that I microved first for 2 minutes. My husband really loved it! Great recipe! Thanks!

I have served this breakfast pizza on Christmas morning for the past 26 years. There is never any left. I too use 2 pkgs. of Crescent rolls as in my experience 1 tube wasn't enough, and I too, don't use a pizza pan but a casserole dish. It turns out perfect every year, and my family would be heart broken if I didn't serve this Christmas morning with a pitcher of Mimosa's.

Very good recipe! I made a few changes to use what I had on hand - instead of using crescent rolls for the crust I used a ball of pizza dough that I had thawed the night before. I spread that into the bottom of a 13x9 pan and baked it for 7 minutes before adding the toppings. I also didn't thaw the hashbrowns before spreading them on - just put them on frozen. Then I sauteed diced ham (didn't have any sausage), onions and red bell pepper and put that on top of the potatos. I topped it all with the scrambled egg mixture and shredded low fat cheddar and baked it for 27 minutes. It turned out GREAT! My fiance loved it and ate half the pan! Will definitely be a keeper :)

This was delicious! We did add a bit or oregano, and will probably try adding diced onion next time. I would recommned using a deep dish, as the egg bubbled up and ran over the edge when while baking.

I made this dish for my Sunday School class. It was a big hit. I cooked the saugage the night before and just had to assemble it and pop it in the oven while I got dressed. It presented well and tasted wonderful.

This turned out great. My son loved it..said it was a keeper. I do have to admit even though i was short on cheese (used shredded provolone) and forgot to mix the milk with the eggs, it stilled turned out well. Very easy to do. I had to use 2 cresent roll tubes though. This one is hard to mess up.

I wouldn't try this recipe again unless I changed it a little. The croissants as the base didn't taste too good. The flavor of the pizza was good, it was just too cakey for me and my boyfriend. I could barely finish one slice. I would just recommend using something not as sweet as the crust instead of croissants. Otherwise good recipe.

I didn't have chedder so I shredded a little American and a little Myzithira cheese the cheeses made it a little creamier It was wonderful.. This never fails to disappear when I make this for my family. I use extra sharp white cheddar and add a 1/2 c. of bacon, one chopped red pepper and a 1/2 c. of chopped mushrooms. Really great with homemade biscuits and an orange smoothie.

I didn't have a pizza pan so I used a 9x13 and it worked perfectly. I'm sure it was even easier than a pizza pan since the rolls are already in a rectangular shape.

We all really liked this! I did find that one package of crescent rolls wasn't enough so I had to use 1½ packages. I also used southwestern hash browns. When I turned on the oven, I put a pizza stone in the oven to heat it up first and then put the pizza pan on top of it when the oven was ready. This helped to brown the bottom. To avoid spills, I didn't put the egg mixture on until the pizza pan was on the pizza stone in the oven. Will put this recipe in my "keeper" file! The possibilities are endless!

I made this with regular pizza dough and it was good, but kind of light on the egg and meat mixture. Next time I would double the topping part for one regular size pizza dough crust baked in a 9x13 pan. Overall, good solid recipe, just needs a little tweaking for our taste.

I'd give it 10 stars if I could. ages 2-62 loved it. the only tweeks I made was prebake the crust 4 minutes and added a package of sausage gravy over the sausage (I think it would be dry without it). I have made it twice in two weeks.

I had to use 1 can and a half of crescent rolls to cover the 12 inch pizza pan. Otherwise I did everything according to the recipe. Some of the egg mixture boiled over into the bottom of the oven. The taste is fine if you're not into a spice bump, which my family isn't. I would add a can of green chiles is you do like the extra kick.

Not a pizza, but a great casserole. I did cook crescent rolls for 4 minutes before layering ingredients on top. I also used Jimmy Dean pre-cooked sausage, but it turned out great!

You need to cook the eggs and then lower cook time; the eggs should be cooked as you would scramble eggs, making sure no more liquid but keeping them very moist, then spread over cooked pizza shell. One layer of cheese on top of crust, then cooked eggs, then another layer cheese, along with any toppings. Keep toppings to a minimum if possible...very good doing it this way! As far as cook time, the crust should be golden brown on bottom, the eggs will not overcook as long as heat not too high. I know these directions are not the clearest, and this recipe is not the easiest as they say, but if you get it just right it is the most delicious breakfast pizza.

This was a pretty good recipe, especially after a little tweaking. The sausage wasn't fab in this, so the next time I used cubes of ham. It was a little bland as is and a few chopped green onions, garlic, parsley and dry mustard (just a dash) helped. Also, I mixed about a 1/4 cup of sour cream in with the eggs. The parmesan became too hard on top, making it difficult to cut slices for my guests, so I used extra sharp cheddar the next time. Also, since the recipe called for just one cup of thawed hashbrowns, I grated a couple of red potatoes myself and I really think it added to the flavor of the dish.

This is the first time I made this but my grandmother used to make it for years. I actually make more of a casserole than a pizza because all I have is a pizza stone. Instead of buying crescent rolls I bought 1 pie crust(top and bottom) and just formed them to the pan. It made one 9x13 and one 9 inch round. I just added four more eggs and extra topping (I used sausage, bacon, and sauteed mushrooms and onions) and it came out great. I also slightly pre-cooked my crust like others suggested and it was great, not soggy at all! My family loved this christmas morning. Next time I'll cook the meat and dough the pans before I go to sleep so it doesn't take me long to make it.

Great recipe! I took the suggestion of cooking the hasbrowns a bit before adding them to the pizza, and I bought unfrozen hasbrowns that I found by the eggs. I also added churizo sausage with maple breakfast sausage to add some more flavor. Great idea and one slice is soooo filling which is great I was afraid I wouldn't have enough!

First of all YUMM!! Tried this thismorning. We really liked it. I did bake my rolls for 5 min before putting toppings on, and i also as suggested cooked my hashbrowns. I did add some frozed onion and peppers that i keep in my freezer to the hashbrowns. I didn't have any sausage but i did have precooked bacon so i just used that. This will for sure be a regular dish in our household. Thank you.

This was delicious! I did take the advice on using a 9x13 cassarole dish instead of a pizza pan, unless you're planning on using two containers of crescent rolls, one for the base and another for the rim to keep everything in. I also pre-baked the crust for 5 minutes before adding everything to it and replacing it in the oven and the crust came out crispy and delicious. I also added 4 slices of pre-cooked bacon on top, and cooked the whole thing for 28 minutes and it came out perfect! It was a huge hit.

A must try!! This has become a regular request by my 11 year old son's friends when they spend the night - that speaks volumes as everyone loves it! Like others, I cook the sausage the night before to save time. I use a quiche dish as well and it does require a small increase in cooking time. Therefore, the crust turns out perfect and doesn't need to be precooked at all. Great recipes that also reheats well!

Made this for Christmas Eve brunch. It was excellent. I used reduced fat sausage, reduced fat crescent rolls and 2% cheese. Added pre-cooked turkey bacon bites (which can be found in salad section near dressing and croutons) to sausage mixture. I browned hash browns in skillet, doubled the eggs, added garlic and 1-can of cream of mushroom. One more important note I used a casserole (9x13) dish instead of pizza pan.

Good basic recipe. I substituted vegetarian sausage, which worked fine. We found the finished dish a bit bland--perhaps because of the substitution. Next time I make it, I'll use turkey sausage and perhaps some additional seasoning.

The whole family enjoyed this, even my picky 3 year old had seconds. I put this in my 13x9 pyrex and upped the eggs to 8. Added some diced onion and red bell pepper. It turned out to be a great breakfast casserole. Served with salsa, sour cream, and fresh fruit. Yumm can't wait to make it for company.

I doubled up on the recipe putting it upon a cookie sheet. I also lightly painted ketchup over the dough(chili sauce or salsa would also work nicely.) I had some leftover fried bell pepper and onions I'd layered in with the hash browns. I also had to add another 10 minutes to the cooking time. Let it set for 5 mins. before cut & serving.

There would be no way to make a round crust so I put them in a shallow baking dish. Very good and very easy. If you brown the sausage the day before, then it will take only a few minutes to get it ready for the oven. Great for busy holiday mornings.

I didn't even eat it and I knew it was awful. Why?The rolls didn't even press together to form a circle. When I forced them to It was thin, I knew it would never hold up. The eggs slimed right off the pizza when I put the on!

This recipie has been a family favorite of ours for years! I have always used two cans of refridgerated crescent rolls and spread them out onto a round baking stone. Cooked up 8 to 10 eggs (scrambled - but don't make them "too done") then placed on top of the crescent rolls then add "toppings" - cut up susage links, ham, different types of cheeses, green pepper - use your imagination. Then cook in the oven on 350 for approx 15 to 20 minutes. Pizza is served!

yum! I made it in a 9.5" pie plate because I was afraid it would make a mess in the oven. Very glad that I did that. It turned out more like a quiche than pizza, but it was still very good. I also added a layer of diced green peppers with the sausage (I used Boca sausage). I also pre-cooked the hash browns about halfway. Letting it rest about 5 min after it comes out of the oven is a must.

This was SO good. I brought it work and had 5 people ask for the recipe. I used a mixture of Monterey Jack and Cheddar. Next time, I might use some Pepper Jack. This is a sure-fire crowd pleaser!!

Very good!!! I altered the recipe a little. I used half sausage and half bacon. Instead of salt and pepper, I used Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning. I also sauteed onion and green bell pepper for approximately a minute before adding it to the top of the sausage and bacon layer. I added a tad bit of the creole seasoning to the onion and pepper while it sauteed. Fabulous!!! My picky children even loved it!!!

Very good. I used a 9x13 baking dish. I scrambled the eggs a little bit before pouring them on top of the pizza to avoid the mess that others had talked about. I also pre-baked the crust for about 5min then added the toppings and baked for another 15min - the crust was over cooked. The recipe itself was great however I am not a fan of the Pilsburry dough crust. It has a distinct taste that is not very "home made". I would probably make the dough from scratch next time. Other than that, it is great.

This recipe was delicious! The problem, however is it is not healthy at all. Also, the eggs ran everywhere, making a huge mess on the stove. And even though the sausage was drained the grease ran everywhere in the oven. I think, even though it tastes great, using the crescent rolls as the crust is a bad idea. They are fattening and dont make a good crust (mostly because they don't hold the eggs in, even when pressed together and with the edges turned up). It would be easier to either use a rolled pizza crust or an aleady made pizza crust. I have seen breakfast pizza recipes with country gravy as the "sauce" & that sounds like a good idea too. Also, I have seen suggestions to bake the crescent roll crust first & even scramble the eggs first. Both of those would help with the messy issue. We will make it again because even my son loved it, & he doesn't eat anything!

This has been a big hit in the guest and husband department. Just remember to use a pizza pan with a good size lip or the eggs will run all over your oven. This dish is totally worth purchasing it's own pan. Lu Ann

I took the advise from other reviews....Used a 9x13" baking pan, precooked the crust 6 minutes and browned the hashbrowns first....other than that, followed the recipe exactly, but added sauteed peppers to half (for the grown ups) and it turned out FABULOUS ! A keeper for sure :)

I made this using grands flakey biscuits (did not have crescent rolls) that I separated and stretched to the approximate thickness of the crescent roll and placed in a very lightly greased 9 x 13 pan. I read several of the reviews all saying to precook the crust 4 - 6 minutes; so I did that. Made the rest of the recipe as directed and had to cook 50 minutes for the eggs to be done. The crust got crusty and took on that overdone taste. I will stick to my other breakfast bake; which is very similar to this less the crust and a couple more eggs.

This was a very easy and tasty recipe. It is definetly a keeper.

My family was very skeptical about me trying something new for Christmas breakfast... but they all were pleasantly surprised. This was delicious! It does seem to take some prep work, but it is pretty easy to make. I actually made a square pizza on a pizza dish... because it was easier for a novie like myslef and provided room for the egg to bubble over (like many reviewers had mentioned). Overall... yummy, yummy, yummy!

Delicious as posted. Do put it in a pan with sides, egg has a tendency to run. Next time I will experiment with mushrooms, diced ham, onions, peppers. I think you can do whatever you like to this. I might also brown the hashbrowns to crisp them up a little for texture.

I prepared two pizzas for our Thursday office breakfast. Everyone raved! When they asked me for the recipe, however, the secret was out. My masterpiece did not take hours of slaving in the kitchen, but rather, only minutes of preparation thanks to the frozen potatoes and refrigerated crescent roll dough. I substituted ham for the sausage for one pizza and created a vegetarian version for the other. Both were devoured in short order.

I have made this for years. I always use a 9X13 glass pan and it works wonderfully. The parmesan cheese is the secret. There are many other recipes that are similar, but do not call for parmesan cheese. Just last month I made 5 for a youth group breakfast and they ate them all.

This is so good. I browned the sausage with chopped onion and then browned the hash browns. I seasoned each layer so that the dish was just right. I seasoned the hash browns with seasoning salt and red pepper flakes. I seasoned the eggs with seasoning salt, black pepper, and a Greek herb blend I got from an organic grower. I did as the other reviewers suggested and placed the dough in a 9 x 13 dish. Pre-baked for 4 min. I added the Parmesan to the crust before layering with sausage/potato/eggs and cheese. I made another version using turkey sausage links, sliced thin. And seasoned the eggs with salt, pepper, and an organic Italian herb blend. All my guests loved this and kept going back for seconds.

I made this around Christmas time when I barely had time for anything. I don't know how you're supposed to lay out those crescent rolls so they neatly cover a pizza pan! I used a pie plate because of the other comments I read and added extra baking time to cook the eggs through. Regardless, it was tasty, and relatively easy to make at a time when I needed ease! Thanks for the recipe!

This was very good and very easy to make. I think next time I will put it together the night before. To make it a little less fattening I used lower fat rolls and half the amount of sausage.
